the 1984 step ist ein ortsspezifisches Hörstück, das speziell für einen tragbaren Kassettenspieler mit Kopfhörer (Walkman) entwickelt wurde. Es zielt darauf ab, Sie trotz seiner technischen Grenzen durch einen interaktiven Parcours urbaner Phänomene und Ideen zu führen, und wie sie am Moritzplatz sichtbar werden. Verschiedene Perspektiven, von realen und fiktiven Personen aus den Jahren 1984, 2019 und 2053, sind wie Puzzleteile angeordnet, um den Moritzplatz in seiner lebendigen Vielfalt zu beschreiben, während der Parcours durch minimale Richtlinien und einige verunsichernde Anweisungen gestaltet ist.

Diese ortsspezifische Audioinstallation untersucht die Fragilität musikalischer Systeme und die Freude an Missverständnissen in ihrer sozialen Praxis. Hängende Instrumente werden zu Resonanzkörpern für aufgezeichnete Stimmen von Musikern, die ihre Sicht auf die lokale Musikpraxis und ihre Wahrnehmung von Zeit erläutern. Diese Aussagen werden zu Spielanweisungen für andere Musiker, mit denen sie innerhalb der Installation interagieren.

Ein Kontaktmikrofon überträgt den Klang des Rechens auf einen Lautsprecher dessen Vibration wiederum in die Bewegung des Stiftes übertragen wird.
